The Reality of FCC Enforcement

When a carrier signs a call, that carrier is accountable. That accountability includes responding to traceback requests, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries, often within very short timeframes.

This is not a preference or a company policy. It is a federal requirement.

Recent enforcement actions across the industry have made one thing very clear. Carriers that fail to conduct meaningful KYC expose themselves and their partners to serious financial and operational risks. Ignoring this does not make the risk go away.

White Label Does Not Mean Non-Compliant

We strongly support white-label business models and have invested heavily in systems designed to support them. That said, white label does not remove regulatory responsibility.

If a carrier’s name is on the call, regulators consider that carrier a responsible party. That means some level of verifiable due diligence must be in place every time.

In most situations, this can be done with minimal disruption and without interfering in partner client relationships. What cannot happen is zero verification.

Why We Take a Firm Stance

Our approach is intentional. We would rather set clear expectations up front than expose our partners to unexpected disruptions later.

Some providers may be willing to look the other way in the short term. In our experience, those situations rarely end well. Policies change quickly once subpoenas arrive or fines are issued, leaving partners scrambling.

That is not how we choose to operate.
