Configure your trunk with Yeastar P-Series
Add a register trunk on a Yeastar P-Series PBX, then build the inbound and outbound routes around it.

The Yeastar P-Series runs on premises or in the cloud. This guide adds a Wiretap register trunk and then wires up routing in both directions.
Before you start
- Download and install Yeastar P-Series.
- Create a SIP trunk in the Wiretap Portal and assign DIDs to it before you start here.
Add the trunk
- 1Go to Extension and Trunk → Trunk.
- 2Select Add.
Configure the trunk
Basic configuration
- Name
- Something that identifies the trunk later.
- Trunk Status
- Enabled
- Select ITSP Template
- General
Detailed configuration
- Trunk Type
- Register Trunk
- Transport
- DNS-NAPTR
- Hostname/IP
srv.globalsbc.core-trunk.com- Port
0- Domain
srv.globalsbc.core-trunk.com- Username
- The User ID generated for your trunk in the Wiretap Portal.
- Password
- The password generated for your trunk in the portal.
- Authentication Name
- The same User ID again.
Click Save, then Apply, then check the trunk status to confirm it has registered.
Configure an inbound route
Go to Call Control → Inbound Route and click Add.
- Name
- A name for the route.
- DID Pattern
- The DID pattern that decides which incoming calls take this route.
- Trunk
- Pick your trunk on the left and use the caret to move it to the right.
- Caller ID Pattern
- Restricts which caller IDs may use this route. Leave blank for none.
- Default Destination
- Where matching calls land, or set it with a time condition.
Click Save, then Apply.
Configure an outbound route
Go to Call Control → Outbound Route and click Add. Outbound routes are evaluated from top to bottom: the system compares the dialed number against the first route's pattern, and if it does not match, moves to the next.
- Name
- A name for the route.
- Role
- Which role may use this route for outbound calls.
- Dial Patterns
- The patterns this route should match.
- Trunk
- Your Wiretap SIP trunk.
- Outbound Route Password
- Optional. Prompts users for a password before allowing outbound calls.
- Extension / Extension Group
- Which extensions or groups may use this route.
- Time Condition
- When this route is available.
Click Save, then Apply.
